The leading integrated environmental, recycling & waste management company of the United Arab Emirates Bee’ah collaborated with Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) who is known as a gateway to global business. The main purpose of this collaboration is to launch a Blockchain platform, the Waste Permit Portal in order to validate, process, store and secure all transactions. It is the first-ever blockchain-based platform in Sharjah.
The platform is basically designed to save customers operations within the free zone time and that money which is required to apply for permits along with the reduction of that downtime which is used for permits. It belongs to a range of 15 services which will be provided to the gateway. It is stated that the accessible, integrated and environmentally conscious solutions can be provided to the gateway. HFZA will be recognized as an environmental solutions service provider for the free zone through this partnership. This developed model is likely to be integrated into other economic zones of the UAE with the main aim to innovate the digital world, support the growth of businesses, and improve customer experiences.
The Group CEO of Bee’ah Khaled Al Huraimel said, “In support of the digital revolution in the UAE, we are proud to launch Sharjah’s first blockchain platform. The Chinese multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products Baidu has declared the launch of its Blockchain platform Baidu Blockchain Engine (BBE) on February 14, 2019. This platform is created to support the development of a decentralized application (DApp). It provides services like multi-chain and middle-tier frameworks, smart contract and DApp templates to developers. Both BBE and Baidu private cloud provide developers with a blockchain-as-a-service platform (BaaS) which is used to implement DApps for different kinds of businesses, Cointelegraph reported.
The subsidiary of Rostec the National Center for Informatization (NCI) has made a partnership with the private blockchain platform and system integrator Vostok in order to improve operational systems. In this partnership, contributions of Vostok is to develop blockchain solutions and NCI is to implement them. Basically, the main work of NCI is to integrate products of Vostok into those operating information systems which are accessed by corporate, state and municipal Vostok customers across Russia, the Russian News Agency TASS reported.
