Niagara Falls gags bitcoin miners
They are always silenced. In a press release dated October 7, the mining company Bit Digitalbased at New Yorkinformed of certain regulatory developments that penalize partner’s activities Block fusion.
Bit Digital received a notice dated October 4 from the City of Niagara Falls. It concerns its facility which is managed by Blockfusion and which houses around 17% of its mining fleet.
The authorities order cease and desist of any cryptocurrency mining operation. This measure will remain in effect until Bit Digital’s hosting partner complies with Section 1303.2.8 of the City of Niagara Falls Zoning Ordinance, as well as other regulations.
The installation is therefore again forced to stop. The ordinance came into effect on 1is October of this year. It comes the day after the end of the moratorium which had been adopted following the complaint of the residents of the city. the excessive noise mining machines, in particular, inconvenienced local residents.

Machines disconnected while waiting for new permits
Bit Digital recalls, in the press release, that Blockfusion had committed to a regulatory conformityowning and maintaining “all licenses, all registrations, all permissions” required by the authorities.
Given the commitment that Blockfusion made in the August 25 agreement last year, the company will have to get new permissions. These are necessary to ensure the continued operation of the Niagara Falls facility.
On October 5, Bit Digital also insisted, with Blockfusion, on the need to comply with this notice from the city. Blockfusion would prepare, in this context, permit applications that take into account the new standards.
However, the miners at the Niagara Falls facility are not about to get back up and running in the very short term. Indeed, the processing of permits can take several monthsaccording to the company.
Niagara Falls residents aren’t the only ones wanting to silence bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining facilities. BTC miners are also considered annoying neighbors in this norwegian town.
Bitcoin mining as a driver of the energy transition? A disruptive and counter-current concept in this period of sobriety. If despite the hackneyed speeches you still have a few satoshis, put them safe on a Ledger key. Boost for your purchasing power, shipping costs, it’s a gift (commercial link).
