The International Holding Ltd Wiskey is known as cybersecurity, Blockchain and IoT company who has declared the opening of the Geneva Blockchain Center Of Excellence in collaboration with Blockchain Research Institute (BRI). This Geneva center will have its own business model and the main reason behind this model is to help Blockchain startups along with promoting their technologies and encouraging a relationship between the public, private and academic sectors.
The Geneva Center is designed to ensure that the latest technological standards are safe and can be trusted while facilitating the rapid adaptation and the on-boarding of Blockchain-based solutions. It will work with other centers and Blockchain ecosystems to make participants benefit from shared experiences and resources where each center is expected to develop a particular expertise and share among all centers.
The Security Token Offering (STO) of WiseCoin AG is known as a Special Purpose Vehicle. This STO is one of the latest projects of the Geneva Blockchain Center designed by Wisekey in order to develop the infrastructure and secure the intra-object interactions. The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) is the Swiss government body who regulates the financial process and this government body has given a “non-Action Letter” to WISeKey for the development and security purpose.
In August 2018, WiseCoin AG was formed with the main objective to secure the Blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT) because of their increasing size and complexities which are threatening to cybersecurity. WiseCoin is likely to pursue the STO in the second quarter of 2019 and the key feature of this platform is to establish a Blockchain of Identity in order to enable connected objects to identify, verify and authenticate each other with the help of digital certificate, according to a report by Wisekey.
