Why EMURGO And SophiaTX Create Their Blockchain Academy

Emurgo is known as a global education institution and the commercial arm of Cardano-a third generation blockchain project who has announced the creation of  EMURGO Blockchain Academy in India with the aim of developers training. This Academy has received local support from Indian Government officials and enterprises in order to train Indian developers, create blockchain experts and expand the blockchain usage.

This academy focuses on needs and requirements required to upskill or reskill those working professionals, undergraduates, and freshers who are looking for blockchain-based jobs. All working professionals have to give a self-assessment test for an eligibility evaluation related to the Executive Program. Whereas IT programming developers should have a minimum work experience for two years along with Javascript, Python, C, and C++. Its entire curriculum is based on a hybrid model consisted of online and offline training strategy with Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) along with external consultants with industry exposure. The Chief experience officers (CXOs) will evaluate students in order to make them understand better those tools which are used in a particular architecture.

It is stated that futuristic technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain technology will play major roles across various industries. Therefore, the government of India has drawn its attention towards the potential usage of blockchain technology in sectors like supply chain, land registry, education, and healthcare.

This Blockchain Academy is a business expansion strategy aligned with the philosophy and mission of EMURGO in order to drive the blockchain ecosystem adoption. This academy will expand the strategy globally in order to educate those talents who are willing to learn the blockchain and drive the blockchain ecosystem adoption. In India, its expansion will be carried out in other cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune within 2 years. The training will be started in April 2019 and interested applicants can enroll for the same.

IT market is one of India’s biggest markets with a market size of the US $160 billion at current. This market will grow more by 2025. In the Indian IT Industry, out of 4 million IT workers, half of them are software developers. Out of 2 million software developers, only 5,000 or a quarter has skills in blockchain development, The News Minute reported.

Its first courses are scheduled for February 2019.
