She has made investments in 30+ companies and Coinbase is one of them. She has invested in those companies which are related to food & beverage, social good, fashion, and health & wellness along with cryptocurrency. She makes investments through a venture fund called Serena Ventures. 

She has launched the venture fund Serena Ventures in late 2014. The focus of Serena Ventures is to invest in those founders who are contributing to revolutionize the world with their ideas and products.

Extending relationships is a purpose of Serena Ventures. The venture fund doesn’t only extend the relationships, but also encourages collaborations among portfolio companies and expands partnerships opportunities.

The crypto exchange Coinbase was set up in June 2012. It helps merchants and consumers in trading in cryptocurrencies [bitcoin, ethereum, Litecoin, etc.).

Another key person of Serena Ventures is Alison J. Rapaport. Alison is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and the Vice President of Serena Ventures. She sources new investments and looks after portfolio management. She was working for multi-asset solutions of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. She completed her MBA from Harvard Business School, according to the official website of Serena Ventures.

An Instagram post published on April 17, 2019. Williams said in the post, “In 2014, (yes I know I can keep a secret) I launched Serena Ventures with the mission of giving opportunities to founders across an array of industries. Serena Ventures invests in companies that embrace diverse leadership, individual empowerment, creativity and opportunity,” CoinDesk reported.

The crypto exchange Coinbase has two principles. The first principle is to become the most trusted company in this domain and the second principle is to develop customer-centric products, according to the official LinkedIn account of Coinbase.
